Cricket fans were treated to one of the finest T20I innings ever at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday. England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler smashed a 67-ball 101* against Sri Lanka on a slow and sluggish track. The 31-year-old became the eighth player to score a hundred in the biggest event of the shortest format. Buttler’s maiden ton helped England recover from 35-3 and post 163.

Last year Buttler spoke about learning from the way #WI target certain match-ups & absorb others. In that innings he scored 12 off 24 v spin & 89 v 43 v pace. He combined this Caribbean approach with 360 degree scoring & rapid running. Post-modern T20 batting. #T20WorldCup
