To win a rummy card game, you must arrange your cards into valid sets and sequences, and declare your hand when you have a valid meld. Jokers and wildcards can be used to represent any card you need.

To place Rummy Show, you must have 14 cards and discard one of them. The remaining 13 cards must be arranged into valid sets and sequences, which you must then lay on the table for other players to see.

To declare a valid hand in Indian rummy, you must have the following:

  1. At least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence (without a joker).
  2. The rest of your cards must be arranged in sets or sequences, with at least three cards in each set or sequence.

In Rummy Show, a valid declaration must include at least two sequences: a pure sequence (without a joker) and a second sequence (which can be pure or impure, meaning it can contain a joker).

In rummy, a wrong show is an invalid declaration. If a player makes a wrong show, they are penalized 80 points.
